The Genting Casino Coventry Blaze will proudly welcome Kyiv Capitals to the Skydome Arena for pre-season games on both Saturday 7th September (7pm) and Sunday 8th September (5.30pm).
Over the upcoming double header weekend, the Coventry Blaze are pleased to support Kyiv Capitals in fundraising to help purchase essential hockey equipment for developing players attending Kryzhynka Kids Hockey School.
The Capitals and Kryzhynka work together to offer students opportunities to excel in both sports and life, fostering critical thinking and teamwork skills.
Together, they pave the way for young Ukrainians to have a promising future and we’re only too happy to support their considerable efforts.
Special Jersey Raffle
In Saturday’s game between Coventry Blaze and Kyiv Capitals at Skydome Arena, Blaze players #9 Jackson Cressey and #16 Kim Tallberg will each wear a special edition Blaze jersey with our logo in the colours of the Ukrainian flag.
By wearing the Ukrainian-coloured badge, we aim to stand in solidarity with our Ukrainian opponents, emphasising that, despite the competitive nature of sport, unity and compassion is an important part of our great sport.
Both Game Worn jerseys will be raffled online with all profits donated to Kryzhynka Kids Hockey School.
Tickets are £2 and the raffle will end at 1pm on Sunday.
The lucky winners will be able to collect their jersey from the FanHub during Sunday’s game. Alternatively, collection can be made during another Blaze game, or we can post for free within the UK.
Bucket Collection / Cash Donations
The Blaze will also hold a bucket collection on both night’s, so if you want to donate please remember to bring cash.
Cash donations will also be accepted by the Ukraine team at the FanHub end of the arena where they will also have a limited range of merchandise for sale, including special edition pucks and sticker sets.
Blaze X Capitals Merch
The range of merch can be pre-ordered online and the Capitals will bring orders with them. At present, a shipping cost is forced when entering your address and Kyiv have said they will reimburse this to customers or offer further merch on the night to the value of the shipping.
Capitals Match Night Jersey Raffle
Kyiv are bring two authentic jerseys, which Blaze match night staff will help raffle, as follows;
On Saturday: Away Jersey (White) XL
On Sunday: Home Jersey (Blue) Large
Tickets will be £2 and can be purchased from sellers who will also be offering the usual 50/50 and Blaze shirt off the back draw tickets.
