The DPD Coventry Blaze are pleased to announce four two-way additions ahead of the 2026/27 Motorpoint Elite League season.
Sean Morris from the Bristol Pitbulls, Jake Hayward from the Milton Keynes Lightning, Rhodes Mitchell-King from the Telford Tigers and Will Bray from the Peterborough Phantoms will all join the Blaze on two-way arrangements with their respective clubs.
Sean Morris, 23, began his hockey journey in Canada at the Ontario Hockey Academy before progressing through the Bristol Pitbulls organisation. Morris has also represented Great Britain at U20 level, including at the 2023 World Junior Championship.
Head Coach Kevin Moore: “Sean is a big forward who plays a mature, physical, and responsible 200-foot game. He is someone who, in our scouting this summer, we felt has great potential, and we look forward to helping him develop this season.”

Jake Hayward, 20, is a Coventry native who began his junior career with the Coventry Blaze Academy before continuing his development at the Ontario Hockey Academy. Hayward also spent two years playing in the USPHL before beginning his NIHL career this season. He has represented Great Britain at both U18 and U20 level.
Head Coach Kevin Moore: “Jake is a smooth-skating local Defenceman who plays tough in the corners and sets an elite professional standard with his off-ice habits.”

Rhodes Mitchell-King, 23, has developed through the Coventry Blaze pathway, making his Elite League debut with the club during the 2022/23 season. He subsequently spent three seasons in North America, including time with the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings of the USPHL Premier, before returning to the UK with the Telford Tigers.
Head Coach Kevin Moore: “Rhodes is a local Defenceman with size who plays a modern, two-way game. He has proven he is one of the best in the NIHL, and we look forward to adding more detail to his game.”

Will Bray, is a Nottingham-born goaltender who has continued to develop through the British game. Bray joined the Peterborough Phantoms from the Basingstoke Bison during the 2025/26 season and impressed between the pipes, including a number of strong performances during the latter stages of the campaign. He has now signed an extension with Peterborough for 2026/27 and will join the Blaze on a two-way arrangement.
Head Coach Kevin Moore: “Will is an incredibly focused goaltender who has good puck-tracking abilities and an exceptional skating foundation. We are fully committed to continuing our work with him to aid his game management development as he earns more ice time in the NIHL”.
