The Genting Casino Coventry Blaze are thrilled to announce that Captain Kim Tallberg will return for the 2025/26 Elite League season.
The upcoming campaign will mark the infectious Swede’s fourth year in Coventry, where he has firmly established himself as a fan favourite and a respected leader both on and off the ice.

Over the past three seasons, the 33-year-old forward has been a model of consistency, registering 143 points (58 goals, 85 assists) in 197 Elite League games.
Tallberg’s commitment and character were once again recognised at the club’s recent end-of-season awards, where he was named Clubman of the Season. This latest accolade adds to a collection that already includes Coach’s Player, Players’ Player, and Supporters’ Player of the Year, all earned in the 2022/23 campaign.

Before joining the Blaze, Tallberg built a strong career in his native Sweden, tallying 93 points (48 goals, 45 assists) in 272 Allsvenskan games. He also produced 168 points (84 goals, 84 assists) over 272 appearances in HockeyEttan.
Head Coach Kevin Moore commented, “Kim Tallberg is the most positive and energetic human that I have ever met. His daily commitment to excellence, camaraderie, and teamwork is unmatched and I couldn’t be happier that our Captain is back for another year.”

Tallberg commented, “I’m super excited and grateful to keep going with Coventry. We take it step by step in the right direction, and I’m happy to be a part of that.
I really appreciate all you fans and everyone around the club – you’re awesome!
We do it all together. Let’s gooo!
Don’t worry, be happy, and enjoy.
See you soon.”
