The Genting Casino Coventry Blaze are delighted to confirm the return of British defenceman David Clements for an 11th Elite League campaign over 2025/26.
Clements, 30, who is set to be honoured with a Testimonial Game on Saturday 17th May 2025 at Skydome Arena (5:30pm) has become a cornerstone of the Blaze blue-line since joining in the 2015/16 season.
A trusted leader on and off the ice, Clements was named Associate Captain in 2022/23. Over the recent season, he surpassed the impressive 500-game milestone in Elite League competition, now sitting on 538 appearances with 121 points (27 goals, 94 assists).
Internationally, Clements has proudly represented Team Great Britain at all levels. His résumé includes three IIHF World Championship appearances and a recent Gold Medal victory at the Division I Group A tournament in Romania.
Before turning professional, Clements honed his skills over three standout seasons with the Ogden Mustangs (WSHL), where he captained the team and became their all-time leading points scorer among defencemen.
Head Coach Kevin Moore said, “David is a steady veteran presence both on and off the ice. He is someone who defends hard and makes good offensive reads in our system. I’m excited to have David back for another season.”
