The Genting Casino Coventry Blaze are pleased to confirm the return of British forward Jack Hopkins for the 2025/26 Elite League season.
Hopkins is coming off a strong campaign, featuring in all 66 Elite League competition games. The hard-working winger recorded 16 points (5 goals, 11 assists) and was named both the club’s British Player of the Year and the Elite League’s Young British Player of the Season.
The 21-year-old has now amassed 195 career Elite League appearances, recording 28 points (10 goals, 18 assists).

He originally joined the Blaze ahead of the 2023/24 season from rivals Nottingham Panthers, where he spent two seasons on two-way deals with both the NIHL’s Telford Tigers and Milton Keynes Lightning.
A proven offensive contributor in the NIHL, Hopkins produced at over a point-per-game pace, notching 56 points (22 goals, 34 assists) in 58 games. He played a key role in helping Telford win the NIHL championship during the 2021/22 season.

Internationally, the former junior standout has represented Great Britain at both under-18 and under-20 levels. As an offensive leader, he helped GB to one silver and two bronze medals at the IIHF World Junior Championships (Division IIA). He was also named a ‘Next Gen’ member ahead of the 2025 IIHF World Championship, earning the chance to train alongside the senior national squad.
Head Coach Kevin Moore said, “Jack brings an intensity and work ethic that is really valuable to our team mentality. He has good speed and deception, which allows him to make defenders miss through the neutral zone, create transition offense, and get his great shot off. I look forward to seeing Jack take another step in his development and be a big part of our success this season.”

Hopkins commented, “I had a lot of fun last season, and the fans made the Skydome a great place to play. I like the mentality Kevin has that the club is not happy with mediocrity and we won’t bring anything but the best every weekend next season.”
