The DPD Coventry Blaze return to Motorpoint Elite League action this Sunday as they welcome fierce rivals the Sheffield Steelers to Skydome Arena for a 5.30pm face-off.
Sadly, the Blaze’s hopes of reaching the 2026/27 Challenge Cup semi-finals are over following a difficult weekend against the Guildford Flames, with back-to-back defeats bringing an end to Coventry’s cup campaign. There will be no repeat of last season’s memorable run to the Challenge Cup final, with the Blaze now turning their full attention to the league campaign.

Blaze vs. Flames | Sunday 25th October
Coventry have made an impressive start to the regular season, picking up four wins from their opening five games, and will be determined to get back to winning ways and maintain that strong form against the up-and-down Steelers.
The Blaze were boosted by the return of forwards Sam Ruffin and Tanner Kaspick over the weekend, with both players now looking to make their mark as Coventry re-focus on league action. Their return provides a welcome boost as the team looks to build momentum heading into a busy period of the season.
American forward Matthew Gleason has also hit top form in October. His two-goal performance against the Flames on Sunday took his tally to a league-leading 11 points in October Elite League competition, comprising four goals and seven assists. Gleason will be looking to carry that scoring touch into Sunday's clash.
Make sure you’re there to get behind the team as the Blaze return to home ice, with the Skydome faithful ready to play their part in what promises to be an exciting evening of Motorpoint Elite League hockey.
