The DPD Coventry Blaze will face the Nottingham Panthers at the Skydome Arena on 7th November (7pm) for a special Remembrance Night fixture.
In honour of those who made the ultimate sacrifice, Blaze players will wear specially designed Remembrance jerseys created by Five-on-3. The jerseys pay tribute to our war veterans while helping us support Lord Leycester Hospital, a historic charity supporting ex-servicemen.
Located in the heart of Warwick, Lord Leycester Hospital is one of England’s best-preserved examples of medieval courtyard architecture and a charity with a long history of supporting former servicemen.
The historic half-timbered buildings date back to the late 14th century, when they were used by Warwick’s powerful guilds. During the reign of Elizabeth I, the site was gifted to Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, who established a home for soldiers injured in the wars of the Tudor age.
Today, Lord Leycester Hospital remains home to the Brethren, military veterans who continue this centuries-old tradition. Visitors can explore the remarkable buildings, take guided tours and hear personal military stories from those who have served, helping to keep the site’s rich history alive - as enjoyed this week by Blaze players Artie Buzoverya and Jaxson Ezman.
Own a Piece of Remembrance Night
Fans will have the opportunity to own a game-worn Remembrance jersey through our online store from Wednesday 28 October at 6pm.
Jerseys will be available for collection from the Fanzone following the Remembrance Night game.
