Game night atmosphere and crowd safety
The atmosphere at a live ice hockey match is electric, but it is also highly intense. The arena features strobe lighting, flashing visual effects, amplified music and high crowd noise levels. These conditions may present risks for anyone with photosensitive epilepsy or sensory processing sensitivities.
Your safety inside the stadium is paramount. Keep your eyes on the puck at all times — it travels at immense speeds and can enter the spectator seating areas. Please do not gather near either team's dressing room before the game, during period breaks, or after the final whistle.

Cash and card payment rules
Coventry Blaze fixtures take place at the Skydome Arena, which is managed directly by Planet Ice.
Food and drink
The Planet Ice venue operates primarily as a cashless facility. All tills across the food and beverage locations accept card payments. Cash can be accepted on match nights if you are entirely unable to pay by card, but where there are several serving points, only one designated till processes cash transactions — check the overhead signage before joining a queue.
Match tickets and merchandise
The Coventry Blaze club accepts both card and cash payments for match-night transactions. Contactless payment is encouraged but not mandatory. We highly recommend that both home and away supporters buy match tickets online in advance.

Re-entry and security screening
Need to step outside the building during a period break? You must use the main entrance doors only, and always keep your match ticket on your person. Security teams perform mandatory bag searches as customers enter the main concourse, and staff may also carry out random personal searches. We advise arriving earlier than normal to avoid missing face-off.
Outside food, drink and medication
Externally purchased food and drink is completely prohibited. Exceptions apply for medical requirements with valid medical evidence. Any unauthorised items found during a search will be turned away or held until the match ends.
You are permitted to bring essential medication into the Skydome Arena. It must be clearly and correctly labelled, and it must not pose any safety risk to other spectators.
Assistance dogs and site parking
Certified assistance dogs are fully welcome inside the arena, though noise levels can be very high. If you are attending with an assistance dog, please alert the Blaze office when booking on [email protected] or 02477 719919.
There is absolutely no general parking permitted on the paved areas of the Skydome site, and vehicles left outside the designated areas will be removed without warning. An independent external company patrols the paved site and issues parking charges, which arena management cannot control. Always use the official multi-storey car park behind the facility.
