The DPD Coventry Blaze would like to thank ‘JD’ John Dalziel, whose final game as the club’s announcer will take place on Sunday 13th September, when the Blaze take on the Cardiff Devils in the Challenge Cup at Skydome Arena.
John has been behind the mic since the 2003/04 season, becoming a much-loved and familiar voice to generations of Blaze fans. During his time with the club, he has shared in countless league, cup and playoff successes, playing an important role in some of the most memorable moments in the club’s history.
Bringing his own unique personality, energy and humour to every game, John has helped create the fantastic, fun and lively atmosphere that has become synonymous with game nights at Skydome Arena.
The club cannot thank John enough for his incredible commitment, dedication and contribution to the Blaze over more than two decades.
While we are sad to see John step away from the microphone, we wish him every success and happiness for the future.
Thank you, JD, for the memories, the laughs, the celebrations and, above all, for being part of what makes the Blaze special.
