Genting Casino Coventry Blaze Head Coach Danny Stewart has added Canadian forward Ian McNulty to his leadership group ahead of the 2023/24 Elite League season.
McNulty will hold an associate captaincy position with Alexander Kuqali and David Clements who support captain Brady Norrish.
30-year-old McNulty joined Blaze this summer from Guildford Flames where he also wore an ‘A’ on his jersey.
The rugged 6-foot forward arrived in the UK in 2021 after playing for three seasons in the ECHL with Tulsa Oilers.
Stewart commented, “Ian has good experience and success in this league. He’s an older guy now, but we can already tell he’s a full buy in type guy. Myself, along with the leadership group felt he was a good addition and he adds a different type of character to the guys we already have in place.”
