The Genting Casino Coventry Blaze are delighted to announce the signing of Danish forward William Boysen for the 2025/26 Elite League season.
The 28-year-old joins the Blaze from SønderjyskE of the Danish Metal Ligaen, where he spent the past five seasons and was part of the team that captured the Danish Championship in 2023/24.
A product of the Rungsted academy, Boysen made his professional debut with Seier Capital, where he played four seasons and won the Danish Cup in 2016/17. He also spent one campaign with the Frederikshavn White Hawks, taking his total to 416 games in the Metal Ligaen, during which he registered 211 points (84 goals, 127 assists).
An experienced playoff performer, Boysen has featured in 74 post-season games, tallying 25 points (10 goals, 15 assists). He has also competed in four editions of both the Continental Cup and Champions Hockey League.
Internationally, Boysen has represented Denmark at every major junior level and made his senior debut for the national team during the 2019/20 season.
Head Coach Kevin Moore said, “William is a high-IQ player who reads the game at a very high level. He’ll bring skill and a strong work rate in all three zones to our club. Beyond his ability on the ice, he’s a high-character individual who is team first. I’m excited to welcome him to Coventry.”
