The Genting Casino Coventry Blaze are pleased to confirm the signing of Canadian defenceman Jordan Power for the remainder of the 2025/26 Elite League season.
Power, 24, arrives from the Greenville Swamp Rabbits (ECHL), where he has played 13 games this season, registering one assist.
In addition to the signing of forward Adam Robbins last month, Power is an important addition to the roster as the team contends with several injuries.
Standing at 6’2” and shooting left, Power turned professional with the Swamp Rabbits last season after graduating from Minnesota State University-Mankato, where he became an NCAA (CCHA) Champion and helped the Mavericks to an NCAA Tournament appearance.
Power began his NCAA career with Clarkson University in the 2020/21 season before transferring to Minnesota State for his final two years. During his collegiate career, he was named an alternate captain at both programs and recorded 43 points (10 goals, 33 assists) in 163 appearances.
Prior to college, Power captained the Lincoln Stars in the USHL, amassing 51 points (7 goals, 44 assists) in 101 games, and earning 2020 USHL Third All-Star Team honours.
Head Coach Kevin Moore said, “Jordan is a steady young defenseman who defends hard and makes plays to speed. He is a high character individual with a growth mindset and we are excited to get him on board.”
Power will wear #77 for the Blaze and will make his debut pending approval of all documentation.
