The Genting Casino Coventry Blaze are pleased to announce the signing of British goaltender Joel Bearman for the 2025/26 Elite League season.
The 19-year-old, a product of the Blaze Academy, completes the club’s goaltending group alongside Canadian Mat Robson and American Dershahn Stewart.
Bearman began his hockey journey with the Solihull Barons at the under-15 level before joining the Blaze Academy. He progressed through all junior levels and was a standout performer for the U18 side – particularly in 2023/24, when his impressive 95.70 save percentage in 14 appearances helped the team win the North Division 2 league title.
In 2024/25, Bearman gained valuable experience backing up for the Fife Flyers in the Elite League and is now excited to take the next step in his career by turning professional with the Blaze.

Bearman will wear #39 during the 2025/26 season.
