The Genting Casino Coventry Blaze are pleased to confirm that British netminder Will Bray has signed a two-way contract with the club for the upcoming season.
The agreement will see the 22-year-old continue his development within the Blaze organisation while gaining valuable ice time in the NIHL with the Basingstoke Bison.
A product of the Coventry Blaze Academy, Bray has been part of the club’s professional set-up since the 2019/20 season.
The Nottingham-born goaltender also enjoyed a short stint playing in Finland during the 2021/22 campaign and previously iced for the Solihull Barons (NIHL) in 2019/20.
At the junior level, Bray was part of the Blaze Academy team that won the England Under-20 Conference Championship in 2018/19.
Head Coach Kevin Moore said, “I am thrilled for Will and his opportunity with Basingstoke. Last season he proved that he has a bright future and it is important for him to get the mental and physical reps in games to take the next step. We will be keeping in communication all season with Will and wish him nothing but the best.”
