The Genting Casino Coventry Blaze are pleased to confirm that British defenceman David Clements will return for his tenth Elite League season with the organisation in 2024/25.
Clements, 29, signed a two-year deal last summer and we are delighted to give our approval and blessing for him to celebrate a Testimonial over the upcoming campaign.
Since joining the Elite League side in 2015/16, Coventry born Clements has become a mainstay on the Blaze blue-line and a key member of the organisation.
Awarded an associate Captaincy role in 2022-23, Clements will surpass 500 games and 100 points in Elite League competition for the club in the new season.
Currently in Elite League competitions, Clements has amassed 473 games with 99 points (21 goals, 78 assists).
Clements has represented Team GB at all levels, including two appearances at the IIHF World Championship.
Before he turned professional, Clements spent three seasons with the Ogden Mustangs of the WSHL where he was made captain and became the team’s all-time leading points scorer for a defenceman.
