Gresock brings scoring touch to Blaze

The Genting Casino Coventry Blaze are pleased to announce the signing of American forward Chase Gresock (GREE-sock) for the 2024/25 Elite League season.

Gresock, 25, joins Blaze following a productive season in the ECHL where with Toledo Walleye he scored 35 points (16 goals, 19 assists) in 69 regular season games. He also registered an assist in six playoff appearances.

The Powell, Ohio also has two American Hockey League (AHL) games to his name with San Jose Barracuda.

Standing at 6’1”, Gresock’s AHL call-up came on the back of a standout season at Bowling Green State University where in his senior NCAA year, he amassed 31 points (11 goals, 20 assists) in 36 games.

The year prior he had 19 points (nine goals, ten assists) in 21 games representing Miami University.

Gresock began his college career playing three seasons with Merrimack College that included two seasons as team captain (2019-2021).

In total, Gresock collected 104 points (46 goals, 58 assists) in 135 games over five NCAA seasons.

Head Coach Kevin Moore said, “Chase is a proven goal-scorer whose hockey IQ will help make his linemates better. He knows how to use time and space off the rush to get his shot off and his release will be an asset on the powerplay. We are thrilled to be adding Chase to the club.”
