The Genting Casino Coventry Blaze are pleased to announce the signing of Estonian International forward Morten Jürgens.
Jürgens, 24, joins the club following three successful seasons playing in Finland with Mestis club Kiekko-Espoo.
In 131 regular season and playoff games, the 6’4″ rugged forward has registered 55 points (17 goals, 38 assists) with 287 penalty minutes.
In 2022/23, Jürgens was a Mestis and Suomen Cup Champion, the year previous a Mestis Silver Medalist and in the most recent season a Mestis Bronze Medalist.
Jürgens developed through the Finnish youth system, notably with Jukurit and Kiekko-Espoo where he turned professional.
Internationally, Jürgens has represented his country at all youth levels, and recently made his debut appearance at the World Championship where he impressed scoring four points (three goals, one assist) in five games at Division 1B level.
