The Blaze head into the weekend full of confidence after Sunday's thrilling 4-3 penalty-shootout victory over the Sheffield Steelers, taking an impressive 10 points from a possible 12 to make a flying start to the campaign.

Jaxson Ezman and Griffin Ness continued their excellent early-season form, both netting their fourth goals of the season before converting in the shoot-out. Between the pipes, Sisu Heikkeri was once again outstanding, stopping 33 shots and denying four of Sheffield's five shoot-out attempts to secure the extra point and maintain his perfect league record.

Now, attention turns to another big night at the Skydome, with the Panthers in town and local bragging rights up for grabs. The Blaze will be determined to build on their momentum, but Saturday's fixture will also carry a special significance as the club comes together to remember and honour those who have served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

A pre-game Remembrance Ceremony will take place ahead of face-off, with Blaze players taking to the ice in specially designed Remembrance jerseys, created by Five-on-3. The jerseys will pay tribute to our veterans while helping raise support for Lord Leycester Hospital, who will be joining us on the night to fundraise and enjoy the action.

Based in the heart of Warwick, Lord Leycester Hospital has a remarkable history of supporting former servicemen. Dating back to the late 14th century, its historic buildings were gifted to Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, during the reign of Elizabeth I, who established a home for soldiers injured in the wars of the Tudor age.

Today, the Hospital continues that proud tradition, remaining home to the Brethren – military veterans who carry forward its centuries-old legacy.

The rivalry continues on Sunday, with the Blaze making the trip to Nottingham for the return fixture against the Panthers, with a 4pm face-off. It's a big weekend of action for Coventry as they look to carry their momentum into both games.

Be there. Show your support. Make it a weekend to remember.
