Head Coach Danny Stewart has confirmed that Canadian defenceman Brady Norrish will Captain the Genting Casino Coventry Blaze for the 2023/24 Elite League season.
Norrish, 30, will return for a second season with the Blaze and takes the Captaincy role from Nathanael Halbert who departed in the off-season.
Head Coach Danny Stewart said, “Having three guys back from our leadership group last season is a big plus for us. Having that continuity is so key. Brady will step into the captain’s role. He’s been a leader at all levels and leads by example. He’s in phenomenal shape, has great habits and is through and through a team first guy.
“He will be supported by Kuqs and Clem. Clem is a massive part of our room, and team on the ice. He continues to mature with age and get better on the ice. Kuqs has a great knowledge of the game and buys into the small details of the club. All three are team first guys and will play a huge role in our success this season.”
