The Old Windmill on Spon Street, just around the corner from Skydome Arena is a stunning 15th Century ale house boasting three original fireplaces.
It is a multi award winning pub. In 2022 they were a winner at the Great British pub awards, winner of best divisional pub for Stonegate, and a finalist of the Best Pub for Ale. The Windmill is also a past winner of Camra’s Pub of the Year as well as being Cask Marque approved for over a decade.
Not only does the Windmill serve the perfect pint but they have achieved a great reputation for their famous pork pies and cheeseboards that are all locally sourced.
Beer festivals are held Spring, Summer and Winter and there is a regular calendar of live music at weekends.
Stroll out back and you will find a pop-up beer garden open evenings and weekends, furnished with wood tables, chairs, beautiful umbrellas and bay trees.
