What a weekend it was for your Genting Casino Coventry Blaze.
A crucial Cup victory in Sheffield on Saturday was followed up by a thrilling win against the Nottingham Panthers in the Elite League at Skydome Arena on Sunday.
Challenge Cup update
The 3-4 overtime win over the Steelers in the Challenge Cup moved Blaze into third place in Group A of the competition.
As guaranteed Group A winners, the Steelers will join Belfast Giants (winners of Group B), in the semi-finals.
With the best points percentage, Belfast will have the option to select their semi-final opponents (excluding the other group winners, Sheffield).
Glasgow Clan have secured their position for the ‘play-in’ game as runners up in Group B and would currently face the Blaze for a place in the semi-finals.
The one-off game will be played at the home arena of the team with the highest points percentage. Glasgow currently sit on 0.59 with one game remaining vs. Fife Flyers.
However, Coventry could still gain automatic qualification with second place of Group A in reach.

As a reminder, the Blaze vs. Devils fixture on Wednesday 11th December at Skydome Arena is the new date for the game which was postponed on 20th October (more info).

Elite League update
With the 4-3 victory over the Panthers, Blaze moved onto 15 points from the opening 11 Elite League games.
Currently sitting fourth, Blaze will next travel to Dundee to face-off against the Stars on Saturday (7pm), before hosting the Fife Flyers at Skydome Arena on Sunday (5.30pm).
