Genting Casino Coventry Blaze Head Coach Kevin Moore has announced that Swede Kim Tallberg will be the clubs new Captain for the 2024/25 Elite League season.
The 32-year-old will be assisted by Brit David Clements and Canadians Brandon Alderson and Grayson Constable.
Tallberg is in his third season with the organisation, during which he has scored 102 points (46 goals, 56 assists) in 134 Elite League competition games.
The Norrköping native has previous leadership experience in the role as Captain of Nybro Vikings IF and assist with AIK.
Clements, 29, is in his tenth season with the club and will hold an ‘A’ for a third straight campaign, during which he will enjoy his Testimonial.
Constable, 26, and Alderson, 32, both joined Blaze in the summer, and have made an immediate impression. Constable has been a Captain with three previous teams, most notably during his senior year at College of the Holy Cross (NCAA).
Alderson brings a wealth of experience from Europe’s top leagues including Germany, Czechia and Slovakia and also the AHL and ECHL.
Moore said, “Kim is someone whose core values are in line with the culture of our team. He is always present and positive and brings an infectious energy to the room each day. I couldn’t think of a better guy to have the C this season and to lead our team.
“Each assistant captain also bring unique qualities to our leadership group. Brandon has great emotional maturity, David is selfless and Grayson’s has elite attention to detail.”
