The Genting Casino Coventry Blaze can confirm that American defenceman Ivan Chukarov will depart the club.
The 30-year-old joined the Blaze during the summer and went on to make 30 appearances in Elite League competition, recording 12 points.
Prior to his move to the UK, Chukarov spent two seasons with the Jacksonville Icemen in the ECHL, where he was named the club’s Defenceman of the Year for the 2023/24 season.
Across his ECHL career, the 6’2” blue-liner featured in 298 regular-season and playoff games, registering 94 points. He also made a single appearance in the AHL with the Utica Comets during the 2022/23 campaign.
The Blaze would like to thank Ivan for his contributions during his time in Coventry and wish both him and Desi every success in the future.
