Keeno’s funeral details

Assistant Coach of the Coventry Blaze Dayle ‘Keeno’ Keen sadly passed away on Monday 26th February while in Scotland. His death came as a shock to his family, the organisation, the hockey world, and all of his friends. Tributes have flooded in, which says everything about the person that he was.

Writing on behalf of Dayle’s Mum Kay, sister Daryll, and brother Jamie, Bobby (brother of Dayle’s Dad who passed away November 2023) commented: “While Dayle may no longer be with us in person, his spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear and the legacy he leaves behind.”

Funeral

Keeno’s funeral will take place on Wednesday 20th March at Dreghorn Crematorium in Irvine (KA11 4EF) from 3:30pm. Tea will follow at Riverside Lodge in Irvine from 4:15pm.

The funeral is open invite and will be available to watch via a live stream and also on demand.

Donate to support Keeno’s family

We would like to ask the hockey community for their support in raising funds to help the family cover the funeral and other costs related to Keeno’s death.

A bucket collection (cash only) will be held at our home game on Wednesday 6th March vs. Cardiff Devils at Skydome Arena and a tribute will be made to Keeno ahead of puck drop.

Also, a GoFundeMe page has been set up and all online donations will be massively appreciated.
