Canadian forward Alessio Luciani says the Genting Casino Coventry Blaze are feeling good and aiming to build momentum as the Elite League playoffs draw closer.
Luciani scored three times over the weekend as the Blaze secured three points from an overtime defeat to the Cardiff Devils and a victory against the Fife Flyers.
The tally takes the dangerous winger to 20 goals in the regular season and 46 points, ranking him seventh in the league.

Speaking to the Elite League website following Sunday’s 2-3 road win over the Flyers, Luciani said: “It comes down to a team effort. If you look back at our last few games, we’ve played well as a team, and I think that helps a lot. We feel good, we like where we’re at, and it’s about keeping that momentum into the playoffs.”
With just eight games remaining in the regular season, the Blaze currently sit fifth in the Elite League standings.

Three of those fixtures will be played this weekend as the Blaze face a demanding three-in-three schedule.
On Friday, the rescheduled game from Saturday 29 March will take place away to Manchester Storm (7.30pm). Luciani and the Blaze will then travel to Glasgow on Saturday to face the Clan (7.00pm). Sunday sees the Blaze return to Skydome Arena to take on the Storm again with a 5.30pm puck drop.
The remaining home fixtures are as follows:
- Sunday 16 March (5.30pm) vs. Manchester Storm
- Sunday 20 March (5.30pm) vs. Glasgow Clan
- Sunday 23 March (5.30pm) vs. Fife Flyers
- Sunday 6 April (5.30pm) vs. Sheffield Steelers
